What is Ruqya?

 Ruqya in Islam is the recitation of Qur’an, supplication from the sunnahAdkhar and seeking of refuge in Allah using His Names and Attributes. All of which are used as a means of treatment for a person suffering from evil eye, envy, Jinn possession, sihr and other illnesses etc. it is also a protection for Muslims against shirk which is associating partners with Allah (swt) such as paganism. This helps to increase (imaan) which is faith and taqwah which is piety. It is also form of Dawae.g inviting non-Muslims to Islam and a nasiah to Muslim to turn back to Allah swt.

The West London Ruqyah Centre has been established with the intention of serving the needs of the Muslim community. Our aim is to help, counsel and provide the prophetic treatment known as ruqyah from the authentic source of Qur’an and Sunnah.

Technique

Our technique is primarily using recital of the Qur’an and using prophetic medicine prescribed in and derived from the hadith and sunnah to diagnose those facing spiritual and mental illnesses. This can be alongside or in alternative to conventional medical and psychological treatment.

Diagnosis of the patient will be made via questions, symptoms and mainly recitation from the Qur’an to determine whether the patient is suffering from jinn affliction, sihr (magic) evil eye or not.

Patients shall be signposted to medical and other professionals where ruqyah is not required or ruqyah will be an additional treatment alongside conventional treatment

We book appointments case by case. No fixed number of sessions will be stipulated upon patients in advance. Separate days and facilities are available for men and women.
